Greenhorns! Few Words of Wisdom for you

Today, my project manager had some surprise in store for me.The moment I entered the office, he handed over a big bar of chocolate to me, much to the surprise of myself and some of my colleagues. When I probed him more, he said that it is his reciprocation for the gesture that I had demonstrated the previous day.I was gobsmacked. It took me few minutes to realize that it is a token of appreciation for my miniscule act of being open and confident during the (one-to-one) confirmation meeting. In fact, I was not very sure whether all that I had spoken during the meeting was right or wrong.I had an iota of doubt as to whether I had been less professional. But my project manager's gesture validated my act. Now I understand that we can be open and confident provided we keep our emotions in tact. After becoming a working professional, I never harbor grudges. I learned to be that way from my very first job.

So, Green horns out there! whenever there is a hitch in your job, immediately raise a flag and sort it out. Remember, you are not a mobile dustbin to dump all the grudges within you. It is fine to keep your superiors in loop when you venture out in troubled waters. Moreover, your superiors are much experienced than you. What appears to be an unsolvable problem for you, may be trivial for them. With the virtue of their knowledge and experience, your superiors could demystify the challenges that you face in your job.In fact, they will be more than happy to help you. At the end of the day, your performance is important than your patience.
