My Blogging Sessions Could Be At Stake

Only few minutes ago, during the Tea time, I heard from one of my senior officials that our projects are still underway. It will take another two weeks for the projects to begin. But once started, we are going to work under crunched deadlines. It means long working hours and no time for blogging. I'll reach home all tired and will become weary of the computer monitor. Not only for blogging, it means no time for watching TV or reading books. However, I will generally run through the newspapers. But, I know there are many men and women out there in the IT/Software industry who work without any momentary respite.I recently read in a newspaper that a software engineer jumped from his office, which is in seventh floor(even my office has a branch in seventh floor, however, I am not a software engineer) due to mounted tension. Why can't these men just relax and enjoy their work?At the same time, we can't blame them, the organizations put a lot of pressure on individuals. The IT organizations have raised their bar in the recent times. However, the employees should spare a thought before they make such fatal decisions.Coming back to my blogging sessions,I still have two weeks for reading and writing blogs.I"ll utilize them to the fullest!

I can't digest the idea of someone killing themselves over work pressure. Suicide requires a TON of self-motivation and will-power. Am sure the reasons were majorly personal and maybe the workload only drove the final living interests out of him... :)

What's your profession btw?

Hi Harsh! Very true! Suicide calls for lots of will power. Had these men used the same will power to tackle their problems in life, they could have gone places.Suicide among IT people has become quite common. We see many such incidents on television and newspapers.May be it may also be due to personal problems and work pressure could have added more fuel to the fire.Btw,I also work for an IT company.
