Spare a Thought Before Hitting the Forward Button!!

Imagine you have got an email forward that calls for an action like this:

Forward it to 20 people, otherwise you will lose your job or fail in your exam.

Certainly many of you would have got forwards like this.What will you do with them? Will you treat them with disdain and push them into the trash or dutifully forward it to 20 people? I generally give a damn about them.Some idle people those who have nothing to do, draft such mails and spread them.I will treat such mails as mere spams and would delete them instantly. More often than not, such mails will have an image of a god to create a fear factor.Some mails may also have case studies(?) explaining what happened to people those who failed to heed their instructions.

Here is a sample from one of the forwards that I got:

Class 1 Officer of Indian government received this picture and called it 'junk mail', 8 days later his husband died.

T. Ratan received this picture, gave it to his secretary to make copies but they forgot to distribute: she lost her job and he lost his family.

My humble request to people those who forward such mails is please remember that you have better work to do.Internet is a powerful medium. Please don't use it to promote superstitions. I have seen some people forwarding them by adding a sentence, such as "I don't believe in this.....but still". What difference does it make? If you don't believe in the content of the mail, why should you follow the instructions in it? Spare a thought!
