Are We Becoming more and more Unethical?

Why many of us do not give attention to small mistakes that can have bigger impacts? All mistakes cannot be punished by the law. Some mistakes are legal but not ethical. For instance, many of you would have watched the movie, Anniyan, the magnum opus creation of Shankar. For the uninitiated, Anniyan is a Tamil movie directed by one of the leading directors of south India, Shankar. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is a person who would not stop his car for taking a seriously injured person to hospital would be killed by Anniyan. Later, he would also argue with Anniyan that there is no law that says that we should stop the car to save a person met with an accident. This is a classic example for a mistake that is legal but not ethical.

I can see more and more people becoming unethical of late .... Being unethical is unfortunately mistaken for being smart and shrewd in many instances. Instances such as one partner cheating another or children not taking a good care of their old parents are becoming common in our country. In the wake of 2010, let's wake up to the human being in us.
