Remembering 26/11

It's been one year since the Mumbai terror attacks happened. As usual, our inept politicians think paying homage and giving an emotional speech would suffice. Have they implemented their action points? How many of them have turned their words into actions? Has our security system improved? Answers to none of the questions are satisfying. Security is still far fetched for an average Indian.

In this first anniversary of those who died on the three-day long attacks, the politicians should not stop with paying tribute but should explain the people those who elected them, what steps they have taken to avoid such tragedies. We are entitled to know that. Will they do?

True... The indifference of politicians and resilience of the people has made Mumbai, a terror town. I appreciate the fact that life returned to normal gear almost hours after the attack, but this resilience will sure prove to be costly one day. Instead of hollering about marathi manoos, the leaders can do something to save the manoos let alone marathi.
